There has been a lot of awareness lately which request people to not call such numbers.
#ULTRAVIEWER CANNOT START SERVICE PASSWORD#
The lesson learnt from this is not to use Microsoft browser because this is not some default page that has a malicious link but the browser it self has feeds, news, climate and some icon etc.īefore you blame MS Edge, think of it this way and take this: don't call numbers from sites which say you have virus, and don't enter your e-mail and password which it requests to. Using McAffe scanned the whole system and so far I dont see any issue as such so things are fine I believe.
#ULTRAVIEWER CANNOT START SERVICE SOFTWARE#
I was suspicious by then so although I was downloading the software and installing it I didn't finish it because I could see that my system is alright suddenly and I immediately deleted the downloaded file and as well as uninstalled the file of ultraviewer. A web browser appeared where she asked me to download, I asked her what to do after that she said that she will unblock the server using some remote control of my system. I asked her when the company is Microsoft why using another company website, she said that it is third party assisting them. Upon explaining she said she will get back in a minute after which she asked to press Windows button and R, a small box appeared and she asked me to type. I had to ask her what company my call has reached to, she said Microsoft and asked me about the issue. Upon calling a Chinese accented lady picked up the call. The pop up and the background screen all had Microsoft logo. This is a new way used by scammers to make our laptop look like really in some trouble or infected by virus. My speaker was loud I panicked a bit but when trying to hover the mouse there was a transparent screen on top of the header covering all the way up the laptop screen and no taskbar seen. Also, there was a voice-over repeating that my IP address is used by somebody so Microsoft has blocked the server. Upon clicking it a tab opened with a pop-up asking me to reach out 1 8 my laptop was infected by Trojan virus closing the browser or shutting down laptop may result in identity theft or data loss. Today while going through My feed of Microsoft edge I clicked on some sort of news like some celebrities might not be rich.
